Bioplastics of the future

We chose this project because of the dangers plastics pose to the environment and its inhabitants. This is because plastic never fully degrades so there is always some amount of the plastic left in our nation's landfills and oceans. Approximately 50 billion pieces of plastic go to these landfills and oceans each year which leads to 100,00 sea turtles and other marine animal deaths each year. These tragedies inspired us to come up with a solution to this problem.
​The solution is bioplastics.
