It is incredibly hard not to eat chocolate piece after chocolate piece, especially if it is your favorite type of chocolate! I understand I have been through this phase of just eating chocolate, not once, but four times! During this phase of not being able to control my chocolate intake, I used to go through two whole boxes of “Fingers” in three hours! That is about eighty “Fingers” in total! Unfortunately, do to all this chocolate I was eating, not only did I become very chubby, I got a lot of cavities. My dentist put me on a two-month ban of chocolate, which left me heartbroken. I also had to go to Karate classes more often to lose the extra weight. Thanks to not having self-control, I now hate the dentist and hate my Karate instructor because he would make me come early on Saturday mornings just for a forty-five minute class of intense cardio. That is enough about me and my chocolate problems, I am now going to list a few things that can help you control how much chocolate you eat in one day.

The first step is to admit you have a problem with eating too much chocolate. It takes a lot of guts to admit you have a problem because it tends to hurt your ego. It is easier to overcome your problem when you know you have it and you want to do something about it.

The second step is to talk to someone, the best person to talk to is your mom. Tell that person that you know you have a problem with chocolate. It is best to talk to your mother because chances are that she already knows you have a problem. In my case, my mother knew that I was going through a problem and instead of me realizing that I have a problem, she told me I have a problem.

The last step is to come up with a plan of action. It is much harder for one to get rid of the problem without a plan of action. The person who knows you have a problem and you should come up with a plan of action. My plan of action was only having 5 pieces of chocolate on the counter every day, and I had to use those pieces of chocolate wisely. Thanks to this plan I was able to get rid of my addiction, well somewhat.

Will this work for your addiction? Let me know in the comments section below!!
