Yes, there is a huge difference between chocolate and candy. To start with some of the similarities, chocolate and candy are meant for people who have a sweet tooth, or in my case, sweet teeth. Candy and chocolate tend to be bought by customers in the United States about 2 times per week. Candy and chocolate both simulate the same part of the brain, Endorphins. The Endorphins part of the brain deals with the sugar intake and makes you crave for more sugar, interestingly enough, that part of the brain deals with depression too. (according to https://www.webmd.com/depression/guide/exercise-depression#1) there are a lot more differences than similarities for chocolate and candy. Candy is not natural meaning it does not come from a plant, like chocolate does. Instead is human made, meaning in factories. There is a lot more sugar in candy than in chocolate. Chocolate is pure, meaning it is natural, it comes from a plant, however, we tend to make chocolate sugary and creamier than it actually is when it comes out from the plant. Have you ever tried chocolate straight from when it comes out of the plant? Chocolate lovers, you do not want to try that. It is absolutely disgusting. It has no taste, and it has a very strong smell. I have no idea what smell it actually has, but trust me, it is horrible. Candy is more addicting than chocolate because it has more sugar than chocolate. People love it more because it does not melt as easily as chocolate does. Also it does not need to be kept in the refrigerator. I tend to keep my chocolate in the refrigerator because it does not melt like it does when it is outside. All in all, when you are about to call chocolate candy, think of all the differences there are because chocolate is its own type of food!

QUESTION OF THE DAY: Is there a difference between chocolate and candy? Why do you think so?
